The proposed Emu Swamp Dam would provide a potential 10,500 megalitre urban and irrigation water supply from the Severn River. GeoDrill Australia was engaged to carry out a preliminary site investigation and packer testing requiring HQ & NQ holes drilled at 65-degree inclination up to 70m deep.

GeoDrill Australia was selected as the primary drilling contractor and has been engaged on the project since 2015, operating up to three rigs simultaneously. During this time GeoDrill Australia successfully completed in excess of 500 boreholes.
